Davis, Bowen & Friedel welcomes new hires Andrew J. Scrutchfield, Christopher M. Daube, PE, and Rocky. P. Kessler to its Milford office.
Scrutchfield, a coastal engineer, is a native of Lewes. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master of engineering degree in ocean engineering. Scrutchfield is currently working on a dune stabilization project for the Port Lewes Homeowners Association, Pirates Wharf Phase I design plans for Wicomico County, Md., and permitting and engineering services for various coastal properties with Dissen & Juhn Company.
Daube is joining the structural engineering department. He is a University of Delaware graduate with a master’s degree in civil engineering and a concentration in structural engineering. Daube recently passed the State of Delaware Professional Engineering Exam and will be serving as a project manager on several structural projects related to buildings, bridges and other support structures. “Chris has been a valuable addition to the team, and we look forward to seeing his expertise assist the firm in expanding DBF’s capabilities throughout Delaware,” said Andrew Welch, PE, associate and senior structural engineer.
Kessler joins the civil engineering department as DBF’s newest CAD designer. With an associate degree from Delaware Technical Community College in applied science and civil engineering technology, Kessler has in-depth knowledge and experience working with AutoCAD, Civil-3D and Hydro-CAD, and he is actively pursuing his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is currently working on several subdivisions in Sussex County, which include Marsh Island, Burton’s Pond and Millville by the Sea.
