Dedication ceremony held for Community Resource Center

The Community Resource Center provides emergency assistance to Sussex Countians in need. The center is sponsored by the Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches to provide housing, utility and food assistance as well as code purple shelter access. The Baby Pantry, sponsored by a grant from the Harry K Foundation, offers diapers, formula, food, juice, toiletries and assistance medications for infants.
The newest addition to the center is the DHSS Woman, Infant, and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program at the Community Resource Center in Rehoboth. Contributors and volunteers gathered Oct. 22 to cut the ribbon on the new WIC office and dedicate the Harry K Baby Pantry.
Contractors For A Cause donated time and materials to revamp the space for the New WIC office. Harry Keswani was honored for his mission to defeat childhood hunger in Delaware. Wally Johnson and the late Larry Beach were honored as contributors to the center as full time unpaid directors of the CRC since it opened.
The Rev. Frank Deming received a plaque for the New Life Thrift Store's contribution.
