The Delaware Seaside Railroad Club is now open to the public. It is in Clayton Crossing on Route 113 in Dagsboro, just south of the Royal Farms. The hours of operation are from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturdays. Recently, 9-year-old Jaxon Vaughan and 10-year-old Dave Mutshchler took a tour and played in the large train model out front. Shown are Vaughan, left, and Mutschler.
The club has two rooms of displays with five train layouts. One of the more intricate displays is a model of a Ringling Brothers circus. Some of the area's noted events are displayed, like the annual Punkin Chunkin, complete with a miniature cannon firing a tiny pumpkin.
