Delaware Tech and Southern Illinois University Carbondale sign transfer agreements

Delaware Technical Community College and Southern Illinois University Carbondale recently partnered with the signing of several new transfer agreements. These will provide pathways for Delaware Tech associate degree graduates to transfer as juniors to SIU Carbondale and earn bachelor’s degrees in the following majors:

  • A.A.S. Design Engineering Technology (Delaware Tech) to B.S. Industrial Technology (SIU Carbondale at Dover Air Force Base)
  • A.A.S. Electromechanical Engineering Technology (Delaware Tech) to B.S. in Industrial Technology (SIU Carbondale at Dover Air Force Base)
  • A.A.S. Construction Management Technology (Delaware Tech) to B.S. Technical Resource Management (SIU Carbondale online)
  • A.A.S. Architectural Engineering Technology (Delaware Tech) to B.S. Technical Resources Management (SIU Carbondale online)
  • A.A.S. Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (Delaware Tech) to B.S. Industrial Technology (SIU Carbondale at Dover Air Force Base)

The Delaware Tech associate degree provides the foundational coursework necessary for successful transfer to SIU Carbondale. Students can complete their bachelor’s degree either at the Air Force Base in Dover or online.

Stephanie Smith, vice president for academic affairs at Delaware Technical Community College, said, “We value these new transfer agreements with Southern Illinois University. This partnership provides our engineering technology graduates with valuable opportunities, close to home and work, to pursue a bachelor’s degree in high-demand fields."
