DelDOT makes changes in DMV operations

Georgetown inspection lane remains open with drive-through service
March 22, 2020

The Delaware Department of Transportation continues to review operational needs while keeping the health and safety of its employees and customers in mind.

Effective March 23, all division of motor vehicle locations switched to kiosk, drive-through and emergency appointments only. Inspection lanes will remain open as no personal interaction is required, and the drive-through window will have additional staff working to process DMV-related transactions. Dealer paperwork can be dropped off for processing and picked up when notified at time of completion. DelDOT maintenance and operations field crews and contractors will be limited to two people in work vehicles. DelDOT officials urge anyone who is feeling sick to not visit public facilities or use public transportation.

To make an appointment and for more information, contact the Georgetown office at 853-1044 for driver services and 853-1034 for vehicle services. For information on the state’s response to COVID-19, go to de.gov/coronavirus.
