DelDOT wants input on new trails plan

Three pop-up outreach sites set this weekend

Delaware Department of Transportation officials want input from cyclists and pedestrians on a new Route 1 Low-Stress Bikeway Study to look at potential low-stress bikeways and crossings along the Route 1 corridor between Rehoboth Beach and Five Points.

Staff at three pop-up sites on trails this weekend will provide information on the study and solicit input.

Sites include: 

• Friday, June 24, 4 to 7 p.m., Junction and Breakwater Trail at Rehoboth Avenue

• Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. to noon, Lewes-to-Georgetown Trail at Nassau Road

• Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. to noon, Junction and Breakwater Trail at Hebron Road.
