Delmarva Christian dedicates day to volunteer community service

Delmarva Christian High School once again demonstrated its commitment to Christ-centered service during its annual Return to the Community Day, a school-wide initiative dedicated to serving others throughout Sussex County.

Each year, students and staff set aside a full day to step outside the classroom and meet the needs of those around them. This year, Delmarva Christian students completed more than 100 individual service projects working on behalf of residents, churches, nonprofits and public spaces across the region.

Projects included raking leaves for elderly neighbors, volunteering at local churches, supporting nonprofit organizations, cleaning beaches and parks, and baking cookies for first responders. Staff members also participated by delivering homemade treats, handwritten notes and prayers, encouraging more than 200 individuals throughout the community.
