Dennis R. Tingle, sheet metal fabricator

Dennis R. Tingle, 70, of Selbyville passed away suddenly Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018, at his home along with his canine companion Bella by his side.

He was born in Selbyville June 1, 1948, son of the late Edward Tingle and Roxie (Wilkerson) Tingle.  Dennis proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Dennis was a welder and sheet metal fabricator by trade.  He had worked in his family business Tingle Sheet Metal, and also had worked for Tyson in Selbyville before his retirement.

Dennis was a former member of American Legion Post 24 in Dagsboro and the VFW in Millsboro.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with his family and tinkerin’ or repairing anything he could get his hands on.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jason Tingle; three brothers, Bert Tingle, Charlie Tingle and Jerry Tingle; and a sister, Jeannie Hudson.  He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Judy C. (Bostic) Tingle; a son, Chad Tingle and his wife Teneille of Roxana; two granddaughters, Roxie Tingle and Rylie Tingle; a sister, Harriett Morris of Georgetown; and a brother, Edward Tingle Jr. of Salisbury, Md.

A celebration of his life with military honors will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
