Design Center of Rehoboth marks 15 years in business
Design Center of Rehoboth announces its 15th anniversary as one of Southern Delaware’s most recognized interior design firms.
Focusing on the need for a more sophisticated and innovative design approach, the design center opened in February 2006. After the business property was purchased in July 2005, the existing 1930s cottages were extensively renovated to include a retail store, design studio and library.
Since its inception, Design Center of Rehoboth has been involved in designing and decorating more than 150 homes from New York to the Mid-Atlantic region, Pennsylvania and Florida.
“DCOR has experienced exceptional growth over the past 15 years,” said Ed Albers. “Moving forward, our focus will continue to build on solid relationships and deliver the quality experience the clients expect.”
The company works collaboratively with its clients to assess their interior and exterior design needs. “We believe in designing from the outside in,” said Albers. “I want the client to feel a sense of calm the moment they drive up to their home.” This involves a multi-pronged design approach refined by Albers over 20 years of experience in the industry.
The design center team consists of Albers’ business partner Michael Cusumano, who handles the business aspects, as well as Vince Nikolov, associate designer, who assists Albers and brings a unique design approach to projects.
Patrons stopping by the store can see an ever-changing selection of upholstery, home furnishings and accessories housed in a charming 1930s-era cottage at 37545 Atlantic Ave., Rehoboth Beach.
