Dewey’s Bay Resort hotel under new ownership
A landmark Dewey Beach hotel is under new ownership.
The Bay Resort, a vacation destination since 1985, has been purchased by Blue Water Development, a real estate developer specializing in commercial and hospitality properties from Florida to Maine.
“We’re excited to add such a well-run, beautiful hotel to our portfolio,” said Blue Water co-owner Todd Burbage. “The Bay Resort has been the go-to choice for families for decades, and we take a lot of pride in welcoming this much-loved landmark to the Blue Water family.”
While Blue Water has plans for a full rebrand and remodel in 2020, the hotel on Rehoboth Bay is ready for guests during the 2019 season. Each deluxe room includes a fully equipped kitchenette, free Wi-Fi, a large flat-screen TV and a patio with either a pool or bay view.
