The Town of Dewey Beach hosted its inaugural First Responder Appreciation Evening Oct. 2 on the grounds of the Dewey Beach Lions Club.
Children were able to meet community heroes, check out first responder equipment and vehicles, and watch a K9 demonstration.
Representatives from Dewey, Rehoboth, Lewes and Ocean View police departments; Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department; Sussex County EMS; Delaware Criminal Justice Information System; Delaware National Guard; U.S. Coast Guard and Delaware Natural Resources Police were on hand with information and giveaways.
