Dewey Winter Gala heats up the Hyatt

February 3, 2023

The 2023 Dewey Beach Wild Arctic Winter Gala was held at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center in Dewey Beach Jan. 28. The lavish evening was the annual party to benefit Dewey Business Partnership.

Music, food, libations and fun were the order of the evening, as 750 partygoers enjoyed the grand event. Music was provided by the Blue Cat Blues Band, The Reagan Years and DJ Manny Mann.

This year’s wintry theme of Arctic Wild featured colors of whites, snow leopard prints and decadent furs with touches of ice blue.

Providing food and drink for the event were Dewey Beer Co., Dewey Crush, Dewey Post, Grotto Pizza, The Lighthouse, Rusty Rudder, The Starboard, Starboard Raw, Gary’s and Woody’s.

“We all work hard to ensure it’s always a spectacular event, one that brings 900 people in Dewey together to celebrate this terrific town,” said DBP President Steve “Monty” Montgomery. “The money raised from this event has gone to support many things in our town, from year-round family-friendly events to our lifeguards, police supplies and town beautification. I think everyone enjoys a night mid-winter to get dressed up and raise a glass to celebrate Dewey Beach. We’re fortunate in Dewey to have the generosity of the Hyatt/Lighthouse Cove Event Center to be able to do this each winter.”
