June 5, 2013

Twenty restaurants sent their best bocce players to Dogfish Head in Milton June 3 to compete in the fourth annual Delaware Restaurant Association's Beer, Bocce and Barbecue Tournament.

After rain soaked the area most of the day, the sky cleared up just in time for the competition to begin. When all was said and done, the Striper Bites team lifted the trophy. The Striper Bites team was comprised of owner Matt DiSabatino, Sen. Ernie Lopez (R-Lewes), Brian Seglem and Todd Manning.

The event featured food and drink donated by Dogfish Head Brewery, Southern Wine & Spirits, Abbott’s Grill, Bethany Blues, Kid Shelleen’s and Striper Bites. Live music was provided by Jason Beale and the Dystractions.
