Don’t Touch Electric brings holiday cheer for second year

Lewes company helps families celebrate Christmas with a fresh-cut tree or wreath
December 5, 2021

Following a successful inaugural year, Lewes-based Don’t Touch Electric is again soliciting nominations for people or families in need of a fresh tree or wreath.

Giving away 20 trees and some wreaths, Don’t Touch Electric owner Doug Simpson started the program last year to help those in need. Just like last year, the trees and wreaths are coming from Coastal Christmas Trees at Hudson Fields, off Route 1 outside Milton.

The last day to nominate someone is Saturday, Dec. 18. The last day deliveries will be made is Sunday, Dec. 19. Delivery of the fresh trees will be done safely with proper social distancing policies.

Nominations can be made anonymously – all that’s needed is the name, address and contact information for the person who was nominated. If more nominations are received than Don't Touch Electric is prepared to accommodate, the people selected will be chosen at random through a lottery.

For more information or to submit a nomination to Don’t Touch Electric, call 302-765-7605, email donttouchelectric@gmail.com or send a direct message to the Don’t Touch Electric Facebook page.
