Don Flood’s truth not everyone’s truth

July 27, 2021

In response to Don Flood’s letter printed July 20, he talks of healing but how can we heal when he, and others, automatically think what they have to say is correct, no exceptions? It is said almost as if it’s gospel because it’s coming from him. Why do some rely on only one source of information?

I don’t care if it’s Democrat or Republican, Trump lover or Trump hater, you do realize that there is other information out there that says just the opposite of what you’re saying? But of course, what you are saying must be the one and only truth. This is the problem!

All that matters are facts. Mr. Flood states three very big inaccuracies. First, he says that Georgia’s Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, received a call from Donald Trump asking him to “find votes.”  This report has since been corrected; another CNN report that had to be retracted. The Washington Post also had to correct it.  It was taken out of context and if anyone thinks the implication is the same, why the retractions? Secondly, William Barr’s motivation for describing Trump’s post-election questions as bullsh__ has also been very questionable considering, among several other things, the letter from Private Investigator Tony Shaffer, former U.S. Army Reserve lieutenant colonel and intelligence official.  He states former U.S. Attorney William Barr told him to stop the investigation into the 2020 election. This has just come to light.  As written by Project of Government Oversight, “the attorney general, as the nation’s top law enforcement official, is entrusted with ensuring that the department acts with impartiality and independence to uphold the rule of law. Under Attorney General William Barr, the Justice Department has repeatedly strayed from its commitment to independence and the rule of law. Barr has demonstrated a disregard for these values, putting personal and political priorities first and undermining the constitutional separation of powers - in short, he has acted in a manner unbefitting the powerful position of attorney general.”

Why would anyone want an investigation and audits stopped when half the population may be questioning the results?  As Americans, do we not have that right? Perhaps the “lost faith in America” would not have occurred if audits were done in a timely manner. Instead, those who questioned the results were met with insults and told that it was the “most secure election in American history.” If that were the case, why not perform an audit? Even a child can see through that kind of distorted logic.

It states in the letter referenced above “one side will not accept the results.” We had this happen in 2016, 2004 and 2000 also. What party disputed the results then?

Thirdly, the Jan. 6 riot was not an insurrection. There was not a single gun found, and no one was there to take over a building. Yet this narrative continues without facts to indicate an insurrection, except in the minds of those who want there to have been an insurrection. In fact, three Capitol Police Officers are dead now and not at the hand of Trump supporters. Two from “suicide” and one from natural causes (Yes, natural causes that, again, CNN had to retract when the “bludgeoning” story was corrected by Officer Sicknik’s family, even clarifying bear spray had nothing to do with his death after the media scrambled to find something to pin on the Trump supporters). Wow, what a coincidence. One person was murdered, and that was by a Capitol Police officer. Indeed, there is evidence that Nancy Pelosi instructed no National Guard that day (See YahooNews and other sources). Why?

Are we really an “odd country?” Why do you say this, because you believe what the MSM, and the government tell you?  We are told to believe in the “science.” Are you not aware that the “science” has been inconsistent? Although I have received my COVID-19 injections, I recognize that there are others who might question this new technology. Let me remind you that this is still the USA. Why not respect those individuals instead of telling them they are responsible for killing grandma. This is the problem!
