Donald G. Pusey, had home repair service

Donald G. Pusey, 75, of Frankford passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md.

He was born in Millsboro Nov. 1, 1942, son of the late William H. Pusey and Maggie M. (Greenwalt) Pusey.  He graduated from Millsboro High School class of 1960.

Donald retired from the DuPont Company in Seaford April 30, 1996, with 34 years of service as a supervisor in the lab.  He then worked for two years for Mohawk Electrical Systems in Milford, and then started his own home repair and painting business until 2017. Donald would help anyone with repair projects around their home, and he truly found it rewarding.   

He was a lifetime member of the Frankford Volunteer Fire Company, where he served as ambulance captain from 1970-73 and was the chief of the fire company in 1975. Donald especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Oral B. Pusey, Dale Pusey and Merrill Pusey; and two sisters, Betty Godwin and Gloria Pauley.  He is survived by his loving wife of almost 57 years, Barbara A. (Hudson) Pusey; three children, Douglas Pusey and his wife Rene of Frankford, Danny Pusey of Frankford and Dana Young and her husband R. Tyler of Lewes; five grandchildren, Karin Tyndall and her husband Danny of Newark, Md., Trevor Pusey of Frankford, Dylan Pusey of Frankford, and Addison and Jacob Young of Lewes; a brother, William Pusey and wife Linda Pusey of Millsboro; and a sister-in-law, Rachel Pusey.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Donald’s name to Frankford Volunteer Fire Company, P.O. Box 99, Frankford, DE 19945. Services and burial are private. Arrangements by Melson Funeral Services.
