Dr. Raymundo Solomon Magno, dedicated physician

Dr. Raymundo Solomon Magno, 82, of Towson, Md., passed away Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at his daughter's home in Rehoboth Beach. He was born Jan. 7, 1936, in the Philippines, son of the late Paulino C. and Cayetana Magno.
Dr. Magno studied at the University of the Philippines School of Medicine, and came to the United States to complete his training as a physician. A dedicated medical doctor for 52 years, he was known for his compassion and gentle manner. Dr. Magno was an avid golfer, was proud of his Filipino heritage, and dedicated much of his free time to uniting the Filipino community in Maryland. He was passionate about his charitable work, particularly medical missions to the Philippines. Dr. Magno was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Maria Belen Magno of Baltimore, Md.; his son, Raymar (Margaret) of Baltimore; his daughters: Rebecca (Michael) of Baltimore and Romina (Owen) of Rehoboth Beach; his grandchildren: Annabelle, Alex, Luke, Dylan, Jack and Grace; and his siblings: Marcelina, Bernardina, Florian and Carlota.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Church, 13305 Long Green Pike; Hydes, Md. Arrangements handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Lewes.
