Michele Walfred always has a keen eye for nature photography. She sent us this image of a male widow skimmer Libellula luctuosa dragonfly. “Fascinating to watch,” she said. “He seemed to fly in front of me to catch my attention, and then properly posed atop a freshly deadheaded stem. We have a pond nearby. I appreciate his mosquito-eating abilities!”
