Driftwood Cabinetry makes dreams come true
Driftwood Cabinetry does everything a customer needs or wants in kitchen and bath design.
The company’s unofficial motto is “From dreams to reality,” said Karla Link, a company designer. “We give customers whatever product price-point they want. From top of the line to bottom, whatever makes them happy.”
Business owners Jeff Burton, Rick Blades and Keith Hastings opened Driftwood Cabinetry’s showroom Aug. 20, after about a year of planning and working to get the space ready, Link said.
The company offers Wellborn Forest, Ultracraft, frameless European-look and semicustom stock cabinetry, she said. “We’re also bringing in more lines of cabinetry and pulling in more vendors as we go,” Link said.
The company sells and installs sinks, faucets, appliances, cabinet hardware – anything needed for kitchens and baths. “We do your designing for you. We come out and measure for you, and we help you make your selections,” Link said.
She said the company provides customers with one-stop shopping that includes installation by in-house or subcontracted craftsmen.
Choosing from Driftwood’s numerous varieties of surfaces for kitchen and bath might be a customer’s hardest task, she said. There’s granite, quartz, acrylics such as Corian and Meganite, laminates by Wilsonart, Formica and Pionite, and cultured marble surfaces for baths.
Link said business has been good, despite a sluggish economy.
“It’s going to take a little while for us to get off the ground and where we want to be,” she said, but the company expects the end of summer is when rental property owners will start to remodel and renovate to be ready for next year.
The company’s website features examples of Driftwood’s work, as well as designs by cabinet manufacturers showing what’s possible. “As we finish jobs, they’ll be added to the website as examples. We’re just getting started so that’s work in progress,” Link said.
