September 1, 2019

Children exposed to abuse, neglect and family instability face barriers that impact their immediate and lifelong well-being.

Children & Families First invites all adults ages 18 and older to overcome obstacles so children never need to at its inaugural Adult Field Day, set for Sunday, Sept. 22, at Hudson Fields in Milton.

Presented by DryZone, the event will feature teams competing to win points with old-school favorites like tug of war, games of speed and agility, and mental challenges, and so much more.

“Adult Field Day promises to be an event where groups will be able to let their hair down and have some fun growing together with their teams! We know that our team members are looking forward to creating throwback memories together!” said Amy Brown, marketing and client care at DryZone. The day will also include music, food trucks and the Revelation Craft Brewery Beer Garden serving beer and orange crushes for those age 21 and older.

“We’re really excited to offer this new, fun way for people to support our mission,” said Laura Rimmer, development lead for CFF. “This is your chance to be a kid to help a kid!”

The 2019 event is limited to 30 teams, and spots are filling up fast. To register and create a team, go to www.cffde.org/events. Registration is $50 per person and all teams must have 4-6 members to compete on event day.

“We are proud to sponsor such a fun event which raises funds for an incredible organization, Children and Families First of Delaware,” said Brown.
