Eastern Shore Lacrosse League popular with Delmarva lax girls

The Eastern Shore Lacrosse Club welcomed more than 80 girls from Dover, Caesar Rodney, Polytech, Cape Henlopen, Worcester and Stephen Decatur Dec. 2 to try out for age group teams spanning the graduation years 2014-2019.
ESLC teams, except for the 2014 team, play tournament games over the summer and into the fall. Once a student enters her senior year in high school, by rule she is done with Eastern Shore Lacrosse League.
The largest group of athletes clustered around the 9th and 10th grade crew, which combined for 40 players.
Candidates were sent through various clinic stations and evaluated for speed, agility and throwing and catching stick skills.
A mixed group of ESLC girls will play in North Carolina in January.
