The Freeman Highway Maintenance Building project for the Delaware River and Bay Authority was completed by EDiS Company in January. Delivered safely during the pandemic, this project located in Lewes provides additional space for buses, trolleys, trucks, salt, and other materials storage such as equipment and tools used in DRBA operations.
EDiS saved the client valuable project dollars by recommending an alternate installation method for the building’s foundation. The EDiS Building Systems Solutions team supplied this pre-engineered metal building through Butler Manufacturing. Pre-engineered metal buildings can assemble quicker than traditional buildings for less cost. The building was installed directly across from another storage building constructed by EDiS in 2002.
“Earning repeat business sits at the core of our mission. We are grateful for the trust placed in us by the Delaware River and Bay Authority. They are truly an asset to Sussex County and we were honored to have played a role,” said EDiS CEO Brian DiSabatino.
EDiS provides construction management, general construction, design-build, interiors, pre-engineered solutions, and building information modeling services on projects large and small. The DRBA project is a perfect example of the efficient, quick, and high-quality work EDiS provides to the Delaware region. With an all-new facility, the DRBA can now mobilize quicker with the proper equipment to carry out its mission of providing vital transportation links between Delaware and New Jersey while improving economic development.
