Elections held for Southern Delaware Board of Tourism

During its July meeting, Southern Delaware Tourism’s board of directors elected Benjamin Gray to a two-year term as board chair. Gray is general manager of the Bellmoor Inn & Spa in Rehoboth Beach. Elected to serve as co-chair was Bonnie Hall of the Nanticoke Indian Association. Hall represents the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce on the SDT board.
Outgoing Chair Janis Markopoulos, co-owner of Delmarva Board Sport Adventures and Delmarva Discovery Tours, was presented with a tribute from Gov. John Carney for her service to the Southern Delaware Tourism Board.
SDT Executive Director Scott Thomas said, “Southern Delaware Tourism is very fortunate to have such professionals serve on our board of directors. Janis, Ben and Bonnie all care deeply about Sussex County's tourism industry, and their passion to promote our area is an asset to the organization.
