Elifaite Raymond, longtime farmer

Mr. Elifaite Raymond (Ton Bigot), 85, of Georgetown, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. He was born Tuesday, Dec. 24, 1935, in Gonaives, Haiti, the son of the late Pierre Raymond and Charite Sainvilus.

Mr. Raymond was admitted to Middle School in 1950 and was a farmer from 1950-2004. He came to the United States Feb. 20, 2004, where he worked in the poultry industry for 13 years in Georgetown.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Raymond was preceded in death by his siblings: Honorat, Rochenel, Justinvil, Anorel and Annerose. He is survived by his wife, Elisena Titus; and children: Wilfrid Raymond, Clebert Raymond, Enide Raymond, Roselene Raymond (Arecy), Ivonia Raymond (Brinelus) and Jhon Raymond. Also surviving are daughters-in-law, Adila Raymond, Junie Raymond, and Theanide Raymond; and sons-in-law, Luckmond Brinelus and Jocelyn Arecy. Also left to suffer his loss are grandchildren Barbara Raymond (Dorrene), Francia Raymond, Yorry Raymond, Watson Raymond, Sanchez Brinelus, Shaylen B. Brinelus, Bedsaida Raymond, Jeohiada Raymond, Dashan Raymond, Danielle Raymond and Layenne Raymond; great-grandchildren, Kayden Raymond, Kalyana Dorrene, Rayden Dorrene and David Anonabat; and great-grand in-laws including Rony Dorrene, Hidelene Raymond and Marc Anonabat, as well as nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.

The Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, with a viewing at 10 a.m., at the Milford Church of the Nazarene, 11 Salevan Place, Milford.
