Members of Cape Henlopen Elks Lodge 2540 community outreach committee recently delivered 35 handmade lap blankets and scarves for residents of the Stockley Center in Georgetown.
Elks Treasurer Karen Palmer made the blankets, and Karen Gilsenan, community outreach committee member, made the scarves.
The center is a Medicaid-certified care facility for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The 50-bed facility provides both intermediate and skilled nursing care for people requiring a variety of complex supports and medical needs, and assists residents in meeting their physical, mental, personal and social goals.
