EvaClaire "EC" Morosoff, retired nurse
EvaClaire "EC" White Morosoff, 81, of Lewes, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation & Health Center in Millsboro. She was born Thursday, June 13, 1935, in Ridley Park, Pa., daughter of the late Donato and Irene (Toomey) Iannascolio.
EC was a 1956 graduate of Beebe School of Nursing where she worked as an RN until moving to Annandale, Va., in 1974. While in Virginia, she was a psychiatric RN at St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Upon her return to the Lewes/Rehoboth area, she worked for a private firm before going back to nursing at Beebe Healthcare and retiring from there. Upon retirement, EC worked part time as the school nurse for Lewes Junior High School.
EC was always "on the go", traveling the world, and especially enjoying her trip to Europe on the Concord. She was involved in The Red Hat Society, The Order of the Eastern Star, and volunteered at the Lewes Historical Society. She was an avid reader and enjoyed photography, playing bridge and poker, and a nice Chivas for happy hour. EC was known for her colorful life, bright personality and devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, EC was preceded in death by her first husband, William W. White II; her second husband, Frohman Morosoff; and her granddaughter, Lindsey King. She is survived by her children: Lisa White and William W. White III; her grandchildren: Carly King, Kaitlin White and K.C. White; her sisters, Mammie Lankford and Marian Gomes; her brother, Donato Iannascolio; her close friends, Joyce Lafferty, Freda Burton and Walt Warrington; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 211 Mulberry St., Lewes, where friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in EC's name to Vitas Hospice, Georgetown Professional Park, South Bldg, 20773 Professional Park Blvd., Suite 200, Georgetown, DE 19947.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
