Everhart is a doer, creator and innovator

July 15, 2025

There have been individuals, city employees, elected officials, business people, even residents or property owners, who have made significant contributions to the development of Rehoboth Beach. Their efforts have made the city more welcoming, run more efficiently, which led to more prosperity; it is safer, environmentally and physically. Our police and lifeguard personnel are outstanding.

And then there is Carol Everhart. She is the one person who has been, year after year, a doer, a creator and innovator, a wise counsel to all those other individuals who contribute to the betterment of the city. As the head of the chamber of commerce, she has orchestrated the growth and progress of most of the key elements that have made the city a success. In her recent letter announcing her retirement, she quoted John F. Kennedy’s advice about the importance of change. Rehoboth Beach has benefited for many years because she followed that advice.

Thank you, Carol!
