Family friendly Big Draw Festival to return in October
The Mispillion Art League will host the 2021 Big Draw Festival DE during the month of October.
The event is part of the Big Draw international festival which began in the United Kingdom 20 years ago, and this year’s festival theme is Make the Change. The creative call to action showcases art-making as one way to help create a sustainable existence on Earth.
There will be free, family-friendly creative events every Saturday, in each of the four Milford wards, and the final Saturday will be in the heart of downtown. Word has it there will be a giant pile of sand again, so attendees can bring their buckets and castle-building muscles.
“It’s so rewarding to see the smiles on the children’s faces and the joy their families experience participating in all the fun, family-friendly art activities,” said Rosemary Connelly, Big Draw Festival chair.
The festival is for everyone of all ages – artists, hobbyists, non-artists and anyone looking to have fun art-making experiences. There will be presentations, classes and free art activities during the whole month.
