A Farmer’s Christmas vintage holiday celebration set Dec. 7

November 26, 2019

Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village in Dover will host A Farmer’s Christmas from 12 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7.

Visitors of all ages can enjoy the sights, sounds and scents of the season with a vintage holiday celebration unlike any other on Delmarva.

Attendees can sip on hot apple cider and snack on seasonal treats, listen to a variety of holiday musical performances, watch artisans demonstrating their crafts and take a stroll down the Avenue of Trees before visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Guests will step back in time as they enter the authentic 1890s village where they can observe a blacksmith hard at work in his shop, make holiday crafts in the schoolhouse, telegraph letters to Santa in the train station and smell the aroma of fresh-baked cookies in the farmhouse. New this year will be fire drums for toasting marshmallows and live wreaths for sale.

Museum members are admitted free. Nonmembers pay regular museum admission of $3 to $7.

Delaware Agricultural Museum is at 866 N. DuPont Highway, Dover.
