Chief Justice Leo Strine, Jr. was the Keynote Speaker at the event.In his address Strine said, “I’m really proud of Delaware. But most proud of us when we show by our actions that we’re special. I’m actually the least proud when we pat ourselves on the back about the Delaware way and for being No. 1 when the gap between what we should be, and what we are has grown too large.”

The Community Partner Award was presented to Delmarva Power. Delmarva Power is passionate about the well-being of the community is serves. Last year the company donated $1.3 million to community nonprofits in Delaware and Maryland. First State Community Action Agency held its 52nd Anniversary Celebration Nov. 14 at Dover Downs Conference Center. At the event FSCAA recognized community partners and leaders, and Delaware Chief Justice Leo Strine Jr. presented the keynote speech.
