Cool Spring resident Jamie Doerfler was a ball girl for the Baltimore Orioles during the summer of 2006, and she recently got to relive those memories.
As part of the 30-year anniversary of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, former ball boys and ball girls are being asked to come back. Doerfler took the team up on the offer and was a ball woman for the July 10 game against the Los Angeles Angels.
There’s more to the story than Doerfler being a ball girl – she and her husband John got engaged at Camden Yards and the Orioles mascot was at their wedding.
