Free investment seminar to be held online Aug. 6

The Delaware Money School will host Your Brain on Investments in a webinar from 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 6. Facilitating will be Robert Jeter, CFP, CRPC, of InFocus Financial Advisors Inc.

Participants will examine the intersection of cognitive biases and how people make decisions with money.

They will talk about why investors don’t like to take risks, strategies to help circumvent risk averseness, why checking one’s phone often makes things worse, and many other behavioral quirks that affect investment results and money decisions. Attendees can access an interactive quiz allowing them to receive a customized report on their financial priorities, concerns and behavioral biases.
