Friends of Cape Henlopen donates to lighthouse foundation

The Friends of Cape Henlopen State Park recently presented a check for $500 to the Delaware River & Bay Lighthouse Foundation.

This donation was in gratitude for the foundation’s work repairing the Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse and also for speaking at the Friends’ annual meeting. 

The nonprofits work side by side. Friends is a volunteer organization that works with the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation, and the staff of Cape Henlopen State Park to support and advocate for one of the state’s most unique public parks. The foundation is an all-volunteer organization that serves as caretaker for Delaware's Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse, which stands offshore from the park.
