Fright Night Fridays featuring horror films kick off May 24

May 21, 2024

The Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present Fright Night Fridays weekly during the summer at 9 p.m., starting May 24 at the Cinema Art Theater, with encore screenings Wednesday through Saturday.

Each week, patrons will experience recently released films as well as some classic horror titles.

A supernatural horror film, ”Late Night with the Devil,” will kick off the series May 24. A live broadcast of a late-night talk show in 1977 goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation's living rooms.

“The Lord of Misrule” will be screened May 31. A priest begins a desperate search when her daughter goes missing during the harvest festival. As she uncovers secrets from the town's dark past, she must decide how much she's willing to sacrifice to save her daughter from the grip of evil.

“Exhuma” is the title for June. After tracing the origin of a disturbing supernatural affliction to a wealthy family's ancestral gravesite, a team of paranormal experts relocates the remains – and soon discovers what happens to those who dare to mess with the wrong grave.

Fright Night Fridays will continue through Aug. 30.

Admission is $9 for film society members, $11.50 for the general public and $5 for students, with student tickets only available at the box office.

For all screening times and dates, and to purchase tickets, go to rehobothfilm.com or visit the box office from 12 to 8 p.m., Wednesday to Friday.
