Funland: A Mother’s Day tradition returns to Rehoboth Beach

After not opening until July last year, Funland begins 2021 season on time

Returning to tradition, Rehoboth Beach’s Funland opened back up on Mother’s Day weekend this year. Last year, because of COVID-19, the family-owned and -operated amusement park on the Boardwalk didn’t open until after July 4.

Masks were still required opening weekend, but it was obvious that smiling faces – for the children, anyway – were under those masks. For the time being, Funland is operating like it did last year – reservations are required and offered in 2-hour blocks throughout the day. Games are accessible to those without reservations.
