March 28, 2022

Gardening for Pollinators Throughout the Seasons will be hosted from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, April 2, at the Inland Bays Garden Center, 38320 Muddy Neck Road, Frankford.

Attendees can learn the basics of pollinator gardening from Kate Patton, executive director of the Lower Shore Land Trust, and explore the importance of cultivating native plants that will nourish pollinators through spring, summer and fall. Patton will focus on selecting native plants for gardens of all sizes that invite specific pollinators and offer tips to keep gardens looking great and pollinators nourished during all seasons.

Admission is free with a suggested donation of $10 to benefit the Lower Shore Land Trust. Registration is required; go to tinyurl.com/mrdtk3xa.

Lower Shore Land Trust works with the people and communities of the Delmarva Peninsula to protect land for agriculture, natural resources, recreation, climate resiliency, water quality and safe drinking water. Programs which help educate local communities about the importance of wildlife, including pollinators, are important in building an understanding of the threats to local ecosystems and resources-based industries, and the challenges to protecting these vital resources.
