GFWC Delaware members hold state convention

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs Delaware held its 126th annual convention May 16-18 at the Christiana Hilton.

GFWC Delaware President Patricia Rodriguez of the Round Table Club of Camden-Wyoming welcomed attendees and presided over the convention, which included guest speakers, honors and awards, and information sharing.

Mitzi Perdue, respected author and war correspondent, spoke of her efforts to raise money for clearing mines in Ukraine.

GFWC Treasurer Becky Wright was a convention guest and the featured speaker at the closing banquet.

Bonnie Stone-Fischer of the Laurel New Century Club was selected as the LEADS candidate to the international convention in Kentucky.

Gov. John Carney invited all GFWC Delaware board members to a meet-and-greet at his office after the close of the convention. Attendees at the convention were from all three Delaware counties.

Committed to Living the Volunteer Spirit, GFWC Delaware comprises club members across the state of Delaware.
