Girls’ lax all-stars battle for bragging rights

Despite being down 7-4 at the halftime break, the White team clawed back for a close 14-13 victory in the annual Blue-White Senior All-Star Game June 13 at DE Turf.

Sanne Elling of Sussex Academy and Regan Nacrelli of Smyrna led the White squad with three goals each. Moira Marcozzi of Saint Mark’s hit for two goals. Brynn Bowen of Dover, Brianna Hammond of Lake Forest, Kylla Henry of Dover, Elise Hensley of Caesar Rodney, Lilian Manlove of Sussex Academy and Sam Teoli of Indian River each hit the twine for one.

The Blue team had Abby Fisher of Middletown, Rebecca Olsen of Archmere and Devon Whayland of Middletown each scoring a hat trick. Sara Denning of Archmere tallied two. Kalianna Clayton of Tatnall and Elle Toth of Charter School of Wilmington each scored one goal.
