Glory T. McKean, loved great beaches
Mrs. Glory Timchak McKean, 70, of Arlington, Va., passed away peacefully on the evening of Thursday, March 28, 2013, at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Tampa, Fla. The widow of David J. McKean III, Glory is survived by her four sons: David, James, Michael and John “Jack,” their spouses and nine grandchildren.
Originally from Johnstown, Pa., Glory was a graduate of Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School. She attended Wheeling Jesuit University and graduated from Bethany College.
Glory raised her family with her husband in Arlington, and more recently held residences in Rehoboth Beach and Naples, Fla. As a devout Catholic and a Dame of the Order of Malta, she lived by her faith in God and her devotion to the Blessed Mother. She is remembered for her unceasing work for others, her love of travel and her affinity for a great beach.
Glory was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her kindness, love and virtue will always be with us.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 13, at St. Edmond Catholic Church, 409 King Charles Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Burial will follow at the Epworth Cemetery, Rehoboth Beach.
Friends may visit from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday, April 12, at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Lewes.
