Golden Jubilee brings fun, raises funds for furry friends

October 18, 2018

Hundreds of Golden Retrievers descended upon Dewey and Rehoboth Beaches Sept. 29-30 for fun in the sun and a good cause.

The Golden Jubilee is held the second weekend in May and last weekend in September to celebrate the friendly canines and raise money for the Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. Many Hero dogs were in attendance. Heroes are Goldens involved in the Lifetime Study to determine what causes high cancer probability rates for Golden Retrievers.

Goldens and their humans gathered to play in the surf, enjoy an evening bonfire, feast at an ice cream social and strut their stuff in a costume parade.
