Good Bye February!!

March 1, 2018

Since spring training started for Major League Baseball, there has been little news coming from the Philadelphia Phillies organization. I keep hoping they will decide to acquire at least one more pitcher to help their rotation.

If they don't do this, the offense is going to have to carry the team. That's fine if the bats are hot all season with tons of runs scored. But this is quite unlikely.

The Winter Olympics in South Korea are officially over, but don't forget that the Paralympics begin on March 9. NBC will be covering those games as well.

I am very much looking forward to seeing these athletes compete. Winter Olympic sports are dangerous in their own right, and then you add the challenges of these athletes and it makes it even more exciting to watch.

In the ‘regular’ games, there were a lot of great performances from every sport and many countries shared the medal stand. The U.S. medal results were pretty successful, with the U.S. finishing with 22 medals overall.

I've mentioned before that I really enjoy the speed skating. Holland dominates this sport like no other. It would be really great to see the U.S. make a major push to challenge that come the Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022.
