Zoar United Methodist Church in Millsboro celebrated the graduations of several of the congregation members. For a small country church, this is a big celebration. Scholarships were awarded to high school graduates.
The L. Thomas Shockley Scholarship was created to be awarded to high school seniors who were going to advance their education. Shockley was a lay member who was known for his philanthropic work with youth in the church and in the local community, through both Zoar UMC and the Millsboro Lions Club.
