Harmony UMC family events begin June 14

Harmony United Methodist Church in Millsboro is celebrating family month in June.

Emphasizing the importance of family as part of a community and as a church body, Harmony invites the public to enjoy the opportunity for fellowship, fun and good food.

The public is invited to enjoy a free dinner and movie night starting with dinner at 5 p.m., Friday, June 14, in the fellowship hall. The menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, tossed salad, lemonade, iced tea and cookies. At 6:30 p.m., Harmony will present "I Can Only Imagine,” an inspiring Christian film. Free candy and popcorn will be available during the movie. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fun and food will be featured at Harmony’s inaugural family fun day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 22. The day will feature board games, cornhole, ring toss, hula hoop contests, horseshoes competition for adults and duck matching games; arts and crafts for all ages; make and take jewelry; and face painting. Delicious platters of barbecued chicken, baked beans and potato chips, hot dogs and hamburgers will be on sale from 12 to 5 p.m. The event is free and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Vacation Bible School will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 24, to Friday, June 28. Free dinner will be served. VBS is free and open to all adults and children of all ages.
