Hate Has No Home Here Film Festival set Jan. 23-25

January 16, 2026

In partnership with Speak Out Against Hate, the Rehoboth Beach Film Society will present the Hate Has No Home Here Film Festival from Friday to Sunday, Jan. 23 to 25, at the Cinema Art Theater near Lewes.

Speak Out Against Hate, a local nonprofit, was formed in 2023 to combat the rising tide of hate in Sussex County, the state and the country. Organizers said hate continues to become normalized, particularly in schools and on social media.

The festival aims to confront racism, antisemitism and hate directed toward immigrants, Muslim communities, LGBTQ+ individuals and the disabled, and to address the effect of social media on young people. Eight films will be shown, with selections targeted for audiences consisting of adults, families and teens. Films include “A Better Life,” “Childhood 2.0,” “Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution,”  “A Fantastic Woman,” “36 Seconds: Portrait of a Hate Crime,” “The Hate U Give,” “The Zone of Interest” and “Pride.”

Knowledgeable facilitators will lead discussions and question-and-answer sessions following the screenings.
