Hear on the Shore relocates to serve its clients
Hear on the Shore has relocated its hearing aid and healthcare services to Wescoats Road in Lewes.
Owners David and Karla Quillen were previously practicing on West Third Street in Lewes next to M&T Bank, but they were searching for a more accessible home for their clientele.
“We moved here to make this more efficient and more inviting, and mainly for the convenience of the people who come here,” said Vice President and Public Relations Director David Quillen. “What's different about this is that we’re not trying to be a complete hearing aid store, meaning that we’re not just here for when you need hearing aids. We’re going to offer things like high-end earbuds, high-end headphones and items that protect shooters’ ears.”
With a larger office, the aim is to offer more hearing aid instrument dispensers, as well as display a larger array of products with a more retail-driven front foyer. The parking situation is also much more accommodating. Unlike the prior location, clients will no longer have to pay for parking or walk several blocks to reach the building. There is also new handicapped parking in front of the practice.
“We’re not just selling you the product. The product is something you may need, but we’re concerned about your hearing health. I think that’s what makes us different from all others,” said David. He and Karla are accompanied by their two daughters, Indiana and Savannah, who work as office manager and hearing aid specialist, respectively. The family-owned business also runs a practice in Salisbury, Md.
Hear on the Shore will be hosting an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, March 24. The Quillens are looking forward to showing off the new space and offering refreshments to visitors after officially moving to their new practice on Labor Day 2021. The date and hours are subject to change.
