Heavy lifting at new Beebe surgical hospital

One of several heavy HVAC units is lifted Nov. 19 to the roof of the new 4-story Beebe Healthcare Specialty Surgical Hospital along Warrington Road between Lewes and Rehoboth Beach. The $125 million project is expected to be completed in summer 2022.

The new hospital, which is adjacent to the Beebe Health Campus off Route 24, will focus on short-stay, planned surgical procedures, including those in orthopaedics, general surgery, urology and gynecologic surgery. The third floor will remain vacant for a future women’s pavilion and robotic center.
