Hit-and-run crash forces Jungle Jim’s to close

Jungle Jim’s Waterpark outside Rehoboth Beach was forced to close July 18 following a hit-and-run crash that took out the main power transformer.
The crash happened overnight when a vehicle hit a fence and then damaged a utility box off Country Club Road. The driver fled the scene following the crash, police said.
In a Facebook post, owner Bill Lingo said Delmarva Power is making repairs to the transformer.
Delaware State Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the car or driver to call Trooper O. Wilson at 302-644-5020.
