We need Kim Hoey Stevenson’s bipartisanship in the state Senate. I am a lifelong Democrat who recently changed my registration to unaffiliated. I am tired of watching both Democrats and Republicans work to destroy each other. Previously, at least some politicians tried to work together, like John McCain and Ted Kennedy. Kim is one of those politicians. She listens to what people have to say and works to find common ground.
As we all know, the main issue in Sussex County is what to do about the rapid growth. We are struggling with overwhelming traffic, crowded schools, lack of medical care and diminishing natural beauty. Kim has the experience and knowledge needed to address those issues. Through her six years on the Sussex County Planning & Zoning Commission, she learned firsthand that many of the current ordinances come up short in satisfying the needs of all stakeholders. She proposed to county council that they bring all the stakeholders together to try to revise those ordinances. Kim’s goal of making sure all voices are heard and respectfully considered will be an asset in the state Senate.
Kim’s experience and knowledge come not just from her previous commission work. As a native to Sussex County, she has witnessed how the changes to the county have impacted the lives of so many. She will listen to her constituents and make sure their opinions and concerns are heard in the state Senate and that she represents all of her constituents. Her bipartisan approach is the only way we will find consensus and truly address the issues facing Sussex County. Please choose bipartisanship this November and vote for Kim Hoey Stevenson for the Sixth Senate District.
