Hook & Ladder BrewFest to return Sept. 21

Proceeds benefit Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company

The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company will host its second annual 86 Hook & Ladder BrewFest from 12 to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center, 229 Rehoboth Ave., Rehoboth Beach.

Attendees can sip on a variety of samples from 11 regional craft breweries while enjoying music by Electric Smoke, food, raffles and giveaways.

Guests will cast votes for each category as brew vendors battle it out for the Best Brew, Best IPA and Best Beard. Tickets are $45 for adult drinkers and $5 for adult non-drinkers.

All proceeds benefit the purchase of equipment for the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company, a 501c3 nonprofit non-governmental organization. These brave firefighters and EMTs respond to over 4,800 fire, rescue and EMS calls every year – all while relying on donations to keep their equipment top-notch. 

There will be free ice cream from Hopkins Creamery, and  hamburgers and bratwurst from Hickman’s available for purchase

Atlantic Liquors will be pouring samples of moonshine and bourbon.

Breweries participating are: Big Oyster, BrickWorks Brewing and Eats, Crooked Hammock, Dewey Beer Co., Dogfish Head, Iron Hill, Heavy Seas Beer, Ocean View Brewing Co., Thompson Island Brewing Co., Tröegs Independent Brewing and Victory Brewing Co.
