James Hilton Horsey of Laurel departed from his life journey Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020. Born to the late Samuel Horsey Sr. and Annie Mae Horsey, James grew up in Laurel with his nine siblings and received his education from the Laurel School District.

Known as "Elk" to those who knew him well, he was a man of few words and was very straightforward. James loved to cook, grill, hunt and fish. Some of his favorite dishes were: cucumbers with tomatoes and fried cabbage. He also loved watching Sci-Fi movies and listening to his favorite hits.

We will never forget that infectious laugh that he had, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, brothers Samuel and Steve Horsey of Laurel, and Gary Horsey of Bridgeville; sisters Ida Greene of Milford, Laura Johnson (Johnnie) of Seaford and Christine Horsey of Seaford. Also he leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
